Challenge #18 Here Comes The Sun

Welcome Everyone:
Today I'm sharing a little cutie, that Crissy Armstrong created called "Sandy," that you can find at Whimsy Stamps!
Over at Sundays with Crissy, Challenge #18, the theme is "Here Comes The Sun" This month our challenge theme is "Here Comes The Sun". You may interpret that any way you wish, and create a card, scrapbook layout, or other paper craft using either rubber or digi stamps. There will be 5 free digi's given to the winner! There is a whole month to join but remember it is till June 30th.
I colored my cutie with Copic markers and added Crystal Lacquer to the pail and shovel but no matter what i did I couldn't get the shine to show on the pictures:-( I added to the bottom a new item I had gotten in the winter called Mudd Puddles- Malibu Beach, which is like sand in a milky substance that when dry is clear, and you kind of spread it on to the thickness that you would like! I was going for the look;-)
Yes, I pulled out my sewing machine just for this card because I just thought it would add to the layering effect! I used my pack of Sweet Summertime from Echo Park for the DP and the fun sun sticker, and sentiment. I hope you've enjoyed my creation today, remember to check back at Sundays with Crissy often as each design team member has her own day throughout the month!
Supplies used:
Copic Markers: BG01, BG10, B000, R22, R24, R27, E11, E00, R20, Y11, Y18, E31, E34, YR31, E35.
Paper: Echo Park, Sweet summertime
sand effects: Mudd Puddles

Have a great day!

CCT 167 Embellish it

Happy Thursday !!
We're almost at the weekend YAY! And over at Cute Card Thursday we have a new challenge for you:-) It is to Embellish the main image:-) That can be ribbon, pearls, rhinestones, glitter... and I went a little crazy and used a piece of jewelry wire to look like fishing line! Our Sponsor this week is The Stamp Shopee:-)
As I said I used wire to look like fishing line, and well, It kinda wouldn't stay where I wanted it to:-( I used glue and well, it should have worked but it had a mind of its own, I like it, but the images black line is there and that was driving me nuts but I do like the effect! I also added dimensional glaze to his tackle box, and the fish and the reel to make them look shiny I also added stickles in a teal color on the fish to give him more "pizzaz" hehe My Image is another cool image that is a perfect choice for a "guy card" which is a Teddy Bo image called "gone Fishing" I colored him in Copic Markers and added prisma pencil as shading in chocolate brown, and a hint of pale blue around the bear as a shadow.
The Design paper is a combo of Basic Grey Origins/refresh and Stampin up designer series "tall Tails" . Stampin up CS was used also in I believe it's Old olive. I hope you all go check out the rest of the Teams wonderful creations:-)
Supplies used:
Image-Teddy Bo gone fishin
Copic markers: Yg93, YG95, W8, W6, W4, C5, C2, E50, E51, E53 Prisma Chocolate pencil for bear shading.
Punches Ribbon, and Cardstock/ Stampin up scalloped circle, 13/8 circle
old olive ribbon and cs
wire and dimensional glaze for embellishments
Have a great day and thank you for visiting me today:-)

C4E Alter it challenge!

TGIF!
Hello and Happy almost weekend! It's time for a new weeks challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity! This week it is to "alter something" which could be an altered embellishment, or an object. The prize this week is 3 digital images from Crafts 4 Eternity:-) Please go over and see what we have come up with
I used a some odd girl image, called BU'Fly Tia because I just cannot get enough of these cute images:-) She was colored with Copic markers and I added stickles to her wings for glimmer
My wonderful husband took me to Blick Art Supply a few weekends ago and I found these binder books by Strathmore called Visual Journals they are 5X8 and I had a plan for at least one book which I bought in Bristol paper simply because I wanted to turn it in to a Copic Journal, where when I color an image i will do another , cut it out and glue it in the book, sort of like an Old school scrapbook of my copic colorings:-) so I have a back up of color combos I love and will be able to look back on with the numbers written next to them!
I went through my newest paper packs and yes MME is my favorites right now:-) I think these are still from the Quite Contrary line, which work on just about anything. The ribbons do match better then in the photo, but sometimes no matter what you do to fix a photo, it just doesn't show the true colors of an actual item. I added the ribbon so I can possibly use them to put inside my book as bookmarks:-)
SUPPLIES USED
Image: Some odd girl
DP: MME Quite Contrary line
Copic Markers: E11, E00, E000, R20, BG72, BG11, BG10, E35, E34, E31, R83,

Hey Dude! CCT Sketch Challenge

Happy Thursday

And here we are with a new Cute Card Thursday Challenge:-) This is easy as it is a great sketch to follow this week, which I've added below! This week our sponser is Kraftin Kimmie who is giving 2 free stamps as the prize to the winner:-)

I picked a Some Odd Girl Digi Image this week, called surfer Kody. I Need a birthday card for my middle son, Andrew who lives in Saint Louis MO, and I don't get to see him much so Surfer Kody was a perfect choice to make for this challenge:-)
Here is the sketch to follow, Very nice to work with

I used Design Paper from a 6x6 pad I've had in my stash fro Pink Paislee 365 degrees that I thought would work with this cute surfer Dude! I added a few dark blue buttons from PTI and printed the sentiment on my computer:-) I used my Copics alone this time, I didn't think I needed any prisma pensil shading on this one.
I hope you will all go look at the really awesome creations the fellow design Team members have come up with and maybe you will join us in the fun this week:-)
