Challenge #18 Here Comes The Sun

Welcome Everyone:
Today I'm sharing a little cutie, that Crissy Armstrong created called "Sandy," that you can find at Whimsy Stamps!
Over at Sundays with Crissy, Challenge #18, the theme is "Here Comes The Sun" This month our challenge theme is "Here Comes The Sun". You may interpret that any way you wish, and create a card, scrapbook layout, or other paper craft using either rubber or digi stamps. There will be 5 free digi's given to the winner! There is a whole month to join but remember it is till June 30th.
I colored my cutie with Copic markers and added Crystal Lacquer to the pail and shovel but no matter what i did I couldn't get the shine to show on the pictures:-( I added to the bottom a new item I had gotten in the winter called Mudd Puddles- Malibu Beach, which is like sand in a milky substance that when dry is clear, and you kind of spread it on to the thickness that you would like! I was going for the look;-)
Yes, I pulled out my sewing machine just for this card because I just thought it would add to the layering effect! I used my pack of Sweet Summertime from Echo Park for the DP and the fun sun sticker, and sentiment. I hope you've enjoyed my creation today, remember to check back at Sundays with Crissy often as each design team member has her own day throughout the month!
Supplies used:
Copic Markers: BG01, BG10, B000, R22, R24, R27, E11, E00, R20, Y11, Y18, E31, E34, YR31, E35.
Paper: Echo Park, Sweet summertime
sand effects: Mudd Puddles

Have a great day!

  3. Wow Michele, you did a lot of amazing details on this card! First of all I just love the colours you chose. Absolutely beautiful. I love the texture you achieved in colouring her hair. The sewing looks great. And I'm sure the shiny pail and shovel look like real plastic with the effect you gave them. What a great layout too. I love everything you did! Hugs!! xo
